Information Technology (IT) Governance through Enterprise Risk Management

The University of Hong Kong School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE) is partnering with Grant Thornton to launch HKU's first Executive Certificate course in IT Governance through Enterprise Risk Management. With lectures led by professionals from Grant Thornton's Business Risk Services, the programme will cover a number of key IT Governance topics and best practices that will help executives understand and manage the opportunities and risks associated with IT in both Hong Kong and mainland China. This programme targets professionals in business management, risk management and IT security as well as internal auditors, who are charged with the responsibility of ensuring that IT becomes an integral part of enterprise planning and governance, with the goal of enhancing business processes and complying with regulations and standards. Students will be exposed to key topics including IT Risk Management, the widely accepted standard business risk frameworks of COSO, COBIT and BS7799 and IT Security & Forensics, etc. Students are able to select any one of four modules in the programme with no prior experience required.
