International Business Report 2008
Grant Thornton's International Business Report (IBR) 2008 expanded this year
to cover 7,800 respondents from 34 economies.
This research it contains provides an excellent analysis about the expectations of privately held businesses (PHBs), as well as a benchmark for the future.
The IBR focuses on a number of key issues that PHBs need to manage in order to survive the economic downturn and prepare themselves well for the upturn. Challenges such as human resource strategies, merger or acquisition plans and competitive strategies are covered in depth, and solutions and action areas are offered to help companies cope with the ever-changing business environment.
Moreover, the IBR 2008 research has also been compiled into country/region focus reports on Hong Kong, mainland China and East Asia, with overviews of their economic background and forecasts for the year ahead.
