Mark Fong
Partner Mark Fong has joined Grant Thornton as a Partner, with effect from 1 July 2007. He has over 30 years experience in the accounting profession. Prior to joining the Firm, Mark was a senior partner at one of the major accounting firms in Hong Kong. Mark is currently the President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). He also serves on several committees of the HKICPA. Some of his roles include chairman of HKICPA/SFC/HKEx Tripartite Meeting Liaison Group; member of Financial Reporting Council Liaison Group and member of Governance Review Task Force. Mark is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified
Public Accountants (Practising) and also a Fellow of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Daniel Lin
Assurance Partner Daniel Lin has joined Grant Thornton as a Partner, with effect from 1 July 2007. Daniel is experienced in serving a wide range of clients including companies listed in Hong Kong and the US, as well as large owner-managed businesses operating in Hong Kong and mainland China. Daniel is the Chairman of the Editorial Board, and a member of the Corporate Governance Committee and the Member Services Committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). He is also a member of the review panel of the "Best Corporate Governance Disclosure Awards" organised by the HKICPA. Daniel is a Certified Public Accountant (Practising)
in Hong Kong and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in
England and Wales.

Raphael Ding
Assurance Partner Raphael Ding has joined Grant Thornton as a Partner, with effect from 1 July 2007. Raphael started his career with a major accounting firm in the UK and accumulated over 20 years of experience in major accounting firms in Hong Kong prior to joining Grant Thornton. Raphael is conversant with accounting standards and has taken on various roles in relation to regulatory compliance and financial reporting for numerous professional and government bodies. Raphael was recently appointed as a panel member of the Financial Reporting Review Panel by the HKSAR government. Raphael is also a member of the Advisory Group of Foreign Experts appointed by the PRC Ministry of Finance for drafting China's Independent Auditing Standards. He has recently been appointed by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants to serve on an advisory group on a China accounting standards/Hong Kong FRS comparison project. Raphael is also involved in a joint project between the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants and HKICPA on the convergence of the China Auditing Standards and Hong Kong Auditing Standards. Raphael is an Associate of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Fellow of the Hong Kong
Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Practising).

Michael Sim
Assurance Partner Michael Sim has joined Grant Thornton as a Partner, with effect from 1 July 2007. Michael has over 25 years of practice in professional accounting fields and has extensive experience in the audit of listed and private companies operating in Hong Kong and mainland China. Michael is a member of the Mainland Affairs Committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (Practising)
in Hong Kong and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in
England and Wales. He is also a Fellow of Taxation Institute of Hong Kong.

Calvin Chiu
Assurance Partner Calvin Chiu has joined Grant Thornton as a Partner, with effect from 1 July 2007. He has over 14 years of experience in professional accounting practice. Calvin has extensive experience in auditing listed companies, including the audit of H-Share listing of PRC state-owned enterprises in the Hong Kong and London stock exchanges. Kelvin Kwong
Assurance Partner Kelvin Kwong has joined Grant Thornton as a Partner, with effect from 1 July 2007. Kelvin has over 18 years of experience in the audit of private and listed companies (including subsidiaries of overseas companies) operating in Hong Kong, mainland China, Asia Pacific and the United States. Kelvin's assurance work extends to cover ad-hoc assignments such as risk-based reviews, due diligence and other financial investigations. He is experienced in advising clients on undertaking major capital and corporate finance transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and raising of both debt and equity funds through the capital markets in Hong Kong and overseas. Kelvin is a Certified Public Accountant in Hong
Kong and an Associate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
